Bracing Blue

I have managed to put my office back together and had a chance to finish painting and changing the outlets and switches before I put it back together. It is all a very nice looking ‘Bracing Blue’, its a darker slateish blue.

Here are a few images from the office:

I also had a quick little technical problem with one of my machines (Nabiki, currently my Ubuntu box). After having installed Windows and World of Warcraft for some playing time with Janel, bringing my computer back to my office, it decided to not power up. It was acting like the power supply wasn’t working anymore, but it didn’t smell burnt (like bad PSUs do). I started troubleshooting by clearing the CMOS, disconnecting all the power cables that went to drives and fans, and it started to beep continuous long beeps. Looking up the code in the manual said it had a DRAM error (memory). I ended up taking half of the memory out, it still beeped the DRAM error, I ended up taking the other memory out and putting back in the memory I took out in the previous step. Everything booted, I was a little upset that my memory had gone bad, but I thought, why not try and add the memory back in the system one stick at a time and see which one was bad. I ended up putting all the memory that originally existed in the machine and there were no more DRAM errors. Odd, but at least I still have all my memory. Everything runs just fine now…
