OS X Leopard: October 26, 2007 - 6:00pm

OS X Leopard Disc

They finally gave us the release date for OS X Leopard! The new OS from Apple will be released to the public on October 26th, 2007 at 6:00pm. I may have to pick up the new Family Pack that day. Also, it is great to see this new release in the ONE version lineup, which has the same price point as the previous releases. $129 for the individual copy, or $199 for the family pack.

I have to give props to Apple, not falling into the crap that is Windows, offering 8 million different versions of their OS. Vista Ultimate is like $400, for only one machine! Completely ridiculous in my opinion, props to Apple for keeping it simple like they always do.

I am also looking forward to the development tools that have been released with Leopard also, they have made some major updates to Xcode and the Objective-C language. If I have time, I’ll put up some more information regarding the development stuff…
