Family Blog Project
I have this crazy idea that we could take Janel’s idea for making a family oriented blog website and making it a publicly accessible service. People could sign up for this service, while the website would offer interlinking blogs (family and friend ties) and photo services based around the idea that a family could keep caught up with their family.
New pictures of the baby, they could be displayed on the family blog. Friend’s cat had kittens, link to that blog and photo entry.
This could be a very nice way of keeping families in touch. The thing that will set this project apart from others, ease of use. I tried to walk somebody through posting a blog entry on wordpress, the interface was too complicated and things were just not all out in the open and easy to use. The normal computer user could get on and be able to contibute, it will no longer be just for the geeks and computer technologically inclined.
