Tynans Blunder
As you probably have already noticed by my previous post that I purchased a brand spanking used vehicle from Tynans Volkswagon here in Denver. Well, besides it being a totally blundered situation, finally things are looking up. The only person that I appreciated was the actual sales guy. I would recommend that you buy from the guy, just not the dealership.
Here is a quick rundown of the blunders:
- The vehicle hadn’t made it through the service department before being put on the lot. At least that is how it appeared because the oil was black as sin and a little low.
- The payoff for my trade in was off by probably about $50, which I was kind of expecting, I was prepared for it and waited for a call which didn’t ever really come.
- When the finance guy called me (which I can only assume was for the trade in value difference - the payoff), his message was “Call me”. To which I promptly called 3 times and left 2 messages. Nobody called me back.
- Now I’m speculating, but I would assume this paperwork sat on the guys desk for A WHOLE MONTH without being processed, because I got a call from my old bank saying my car loan hasn’t been paid. ARG!
- I call the dealership (a little upset) and didn’t hear back from them during the day (they were working on the issue, but still). I didn’t find out that they decided to pay for the payoff difference and take care of everything until I showed up to the dealership about 5 hours later.
- I cannot believe that Tynans (which I had purchased from in the past) blundered up the deal so bad!
- PS Tim Green at Tynan’s VW is awesome, would recommend that guy to anybody.
Anyway, enough of my ranting. I’m tired and I now have a beef with Metro State because they didn’t give me In State status for tuition rates - so I now need to solved this problem. Mainly because the military saw it best that I live in San Antonio, TX for 4 years.
